4th Sunday of Ordinary Time
My Dear People of God!
This past week, we celebrated Catholic Schools Week in the United States. It is a time to give thanks for the ministry of Catholic education that has been fundamental in our nation’s development and a movement where people see the gift of Faith meeting culture. As a product of Catholic education, I am glad to oversee the efforts that we continue. In our Parish with ICCS and also the continuing of the efforts at Saint Louis, I am pleased to see what we can offer to help form young men and women secure in their Faith and knowledgeable about the world.
It is the right and duty of parents to ensure that education of their children takes place. Whether parents send their children Catholic schools, choose to educate them themselves through homeschooling, send them to public school, or do a combination of all these choices; we must continue to support parents in the rearing of children who grow up to fear God and know His ways.
